PHILOSOPHY AND HEALING

One Day Philosophy Class(s) ~ Bush Skills and Philosophy Program ~ Philosophy Class and Nature Walk

Ray at Poland PondThis is a spiritual class with concrete results. Our intention is to sharpen your ability to see the world and to hear your heart so that these skills may guide you through life. To quiet the mind and awaken this awareness we begin and end each day with a guided meditation. During the day we spend time investigating questions such as what the roots of our emotions are, how we can act from love instead of fear, and what stops us from living our dreams. Through meditation, discussion and Ray's humorous stories we come to understand the source of our troubles and why people act as they do. This understanding and awareness helps us to strip away judgment and fear so we may follow our hearts with confidence and peace. Throughout the class we draw upon the wisdom and stillness of nature. Time is spent outside in quiet contemplation as well as in active pursuits. The class gives everyone a chance to experience a simple life where stillness and peace may be found drawing water from the well or lighting the fire to cook a meal. We balance the deep inner work with handwork projects like making a rawhide rattle, a leather pouch, or a wooden spoon. You will leave this experience with a newfound stillness of mind, appreciation for the earth, and clarity of purpose.

"Ray's spiritual philosophy is an all-day, everyday awareness (presence) of spirit in his life. He shares a spirit-based teaching unencumbered by dogma and structure. It is not so much teaching as stripping away the clutter. We all have the answers we need within. Like all the living creatures, God has provided within us the ability to solve our own problems, including our path back to it." B. Pogatchnik

"Bush Skills and Philosophy Program"

Ray ReitzeWhile we are gathered around the firepit, Ray will discuss how the "native mind" works in relationship to Earth in our modern world as he answers your questions.

The first program welcomed a chorus of nearby coyotes which serenaded us under the clear skies of a moon and starlit night! Ray will give teachings, offer individual personal readings and individual blessings for all attending. Ray has a style of teaching that will warm your heart and still your mind. All will benefit from this evening with this gentle spirit.

In some of the individual readings, information and questions will be posed, like: "What's holding you back from the spiritual growth that you long for?" This is a gathering that will be held monthly.

Sunday May 25, 3-7 p.m. at Forest Circles, Topsham, Maine
Fee: $30

Thought for the Month of May

The heart is the center of the soul. The mind is the servant that follows the will of the heart. The heart is where we are in direct communion with God. The heart is our source and our director that guides us every day. The heart must rule and the mind must follow.
